The next prayer
2 Hours 21
We are an Islamic Supplementary Evening Madrasah which offers Islamic Studies, Qur’an Recitation and Qur’an Memorisation classes according to the true teachings of the Qur’an and prophetic ways of the Final Messenger – Prophet Muhammad.
The Madrasah’s aims are to fulfil the obligation of seeking knowledge in a caring and secure Islamic environment, to endorse excellent manners and nurture future leaders of our community.
By providing a well-structured curriculum, and by endorsing excellent manners through our Behaviour Policy and Rewarding System, we aim to encourage in all children the love of learning of the deen as well as the respect and care for one another.
We highly recognise the great importance of the partnership between home and the Madrasah in producing well-rounded confident Muslims; we firmly believe that collectively we can offer a unique education to our children.
Our Madrasah is open from Monday to Thursday; from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and the Weekend from 9:00am -12:00 pm.
Students progress in their learning of reading Quran in 9 structured levels, starting from learning the alphabet in Level 1 through to reading the Qaa,idah and reading fluency in the levels that follow. Students then progress onto learning the rules of recitation (tajweed) and later go on to our highest level to memorise Quran (hifdh).
Class Sizes and Teachers
At the Madrasah we have small classes sizes for Qur’an Reading and Hifdh classes to ensure each child gets protected one-to-one time with the teacher during the lesson; there are a maximum of 15 students per Qur’an teacher.
The Islamic Studies classes have a maximum of 15 students per class.
All of our teachers are experienced or fully qualified; they are tested upon appointment. All of our teachers continue to receive relevant teacher training throughout the teaching year.
All staff working at the Madrasah are fully DBS checked.
